Aztec Technical Services has developed a number of operational training programmes and operations skills training for a variety of areas. The courses can be tailored for persons at all levels and include the relevant health, safety and environmental input.
Operations skills training is available for operational staff in the following plant and system areas:
- Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP)
- Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT)
- Fossil fired power plant – coal and oil
- Nuclear power – conventional plant
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant – gas turbine and IC engine powered
- Process utility plant – package or small boiler, small steam turbines, steam distribution systems.
If required, Aztec Technical Services has access to plant simulators. These can enhance the quality of operations skills training by providing "hands on" opportunities. It allows attendees to learn and practise the procedures and actions associated with start-up, shut down, routine operation, plant faults and emergencies.
